Caito joins national office staff as NCAA director of licensing

Melissa Caito has been hired as NCAA director of licensing.

Caito joins the NCAA staff from Logo Athletic, Inc., in Indianapolis, where her responsibilities included creation and implementation of strategic marketing and communication initiatives in all media. She also was responsible for administration of a multi-million dollar annual budget, creation and implementation of retail marketing partnerships and co-op programs with more than 50 national accounts, and negotiation and implementation of National Football League team sponsorships.

Before that, Caito was responsible for licensing and merchandising with USA Gymnastics and for event management with the Indiana Sports Corporation.

Caito has a bachelor of science degree in sports marketing and management from Indiana University, Bloomington.

She will replace Angie Lovett, who chose not to relocate with the NCAA to Indianapolis.
