Committee notices

Division II

Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II Nomination Form and Division II Nominee Information Form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Lori Braa, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 913/339-0035).

Previously listed vacancies

The deadline for submission of completed nomination forms for the following vacancy is August 6, 1999.

Division II Women's Softball Committee: Two vacancies (one interim). Appointees will replace Carey J. Snyder, East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania, who is not eligible for reappointment and Joan Boand, Grand Valley State University, who has resigned from the committee. One appointee must be from the Great Lakes region and one appointee must be from the Mid-Atlantic region. Neither appointee may be from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference or the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

Women's Basketball Rules Committee: One Division III interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Dianne Jones, University of Wisconsin, Whitewater. The appointee must be from Division III.

The deadline for submission of completed nomination forms for the following vacancy is August 6, 1999.

Division III Football Committee: One interim vacancy. The appointee will replace Bob Nielson, University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire, who resigned from the committee. The appointee must be from the West region and may not be from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Additional nominations solicited

The deadline for submission of completed nomination forms for the following vacancies is August 6, 1999.

Division III Women's Golf Committee: Two vacancies. One appointee will replace Jeff Goodin, Hardin-Simmons University, not eligible for reappointment, and one new position created on the committee. The appointees may be from regions 2, 3, or 5.

Division III Women's Softball Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Sharlene A. Peter, Eastern Connecticut State University, who has resigned from the committee.

The appointee must be from the Northeast region and must be an athletics administrator.

Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee: Three vacancies.

The appointees will replace Allen Ackerman, University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh; Barbara Hartwig, University of Rochester; and Nancy Meyer, Calvin College, who are not eligible for reappointment.

One appointee must be from the Midwest region, one appointee must be from the New York region and one appointee must be from the Great Lakes region.

One appointee must be female and must be a coach.

One of the appointees must represent men's track and two must represent women's track.
