Championships notice

Division II women's volleyball: The NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Committee has received approval for its recommended 1999 NCAA Division II Women's Volleyball Championship site.

This year's championship will be played in Battle Creek, Michigan, at Kellogg Arena December 2-4. The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference will serve as host.

The last time the finals were held in the Great Lakes region was 1993 at Northern Michigan.

The host Wildcats won the first of two straight titles that year with a 3-1 victory over Cal State Bakersfield.

The 1999 championship will be the second consecutive year that the championship has been conducted at a predetermined site.
