Spring Championships Preview -- Division I Women's Golf

Field: A total of 204 participants representing five districts will participate in two regionals to determine the championships field of 99 competitors.

Dates and sites: The following regionals will be held May 6-8: East (The University Club, Columbia, South Carolina; South Carolina, host) and West (Pine Forest Country Club, Houston; Texas A&M, host). Tulsa will host the championship finals May 19-22 at the Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Championships notes: The final three rounds of the tournament will be covered on ESPN2 ... Arizona State dominated the 1998 championships, defeating runner-up Florida by 18 strokes. The Sun Devils have claimed six titles in the 1990s ... Southern California's Jennifer Rosales took individual medalist honors, edging Tulsa's Christina Kuld by three shots.
