Spring Championships Preview -- Division III Men's Lacrosse
Field: Twelve teams are selected. A range of two to six teams must be distributed among teams from the North and teams from the South, respectively. As many as two teams may be selected from the West.
Dates and sites: The quarterfinals will be May 15, on campus. The semifinals will be May 22, on campus, and the championship game will be played May 30 at Maryland's Byrd Stadium.

Championship notes: Washington (Maryland) won its first championship last year after finishing as runner-up seven times, including each of the previous two years. The Shoremen became the second team from Maryland to win the championship. Salisbury State is the other ... Hobart, which has played in Division I since 1994, holds the tournament records with 13 championships, 12 of them consecutive from 1980 to 1991 ... Only teams from the states of New York and Maryland have won the championship. The last team to appear in the championship that is not from one of those states was Ohio Wesleyan, which lost to Hobart in 1993.
