Facilities: Illinois Wesleyan University's new $1.65 million baseball stadium was dedicated April 11 before an opening-day crowd of Titans baseball fans. The field is named for legendary baseball coach Jack Horenberger, who was also a basketball coach, athletics director and 1936 Illinois Wesleyan graduate. Horenberger coached baseball at the school from 1943 to 1981, amassing a 509-401-5 record and winning 16 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships.

Sports Sponsorship: Worcester Polytechnic Institute recently announced that it will offer men's and women's rowing as varsity sports beginning with the 1999-00 academic year. The addition of the programs brings the number of varsity athletics teams at Worcester to 21, with 11 offered for men and 10 offered for women.

Milestones: Ken Neuhaus, Bethel College (Minnesota), 200 victories in baseball ... Mark Walsh, Aurora University, 200 victories in baseball ... Ged Schweikert, Susquehanna University, 100 victories in women's swimming.
