Division II Women's Basketball

Field: The championship provides for a bracket of 48 teams participating in eight regions.

Dates and sites: Regionals will be conducted March 4-6 or 5-7 at on-campus sites to be determined. The Women's Elite Eight will be held at the Pine Bluff Convention Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, March 17, 18 and 20.

Championship notes: A team from the state of North Dakota has won the title in each of the last six years. North Dakota State won consecutive crowns in 1993-96 and also won in 1991. North Dakota has won the championship the past two years ... Bentley has made the most appearances in the tournament with 16. North Dakota State has made the most appearances in the final game with seven ... Delta State holds the record for the highest tournament winning percentage with .767 and holds three championship titles from 1989, 1990 and 1992.
