Three national broadcasts head selection-show schedule

The list of 1999 NCAA winter championships television selection shows includes three national broadcasts and four that are available only through C-Band satellite services.

The schedule begins Sunday, February 28, with the announcement of the Division II Women's and Men's Basketball Championship brackets at 6 and 6:30 p.m. Eastern time, respectively. Later that evening, the Division III Women's and Men's Basketball Championship brackets will be revealed at 8:30 and 9 p.m., respectively.

All four selection shows will be produced by NCAA Productions and will originate live from Kansas City, Missouri. The four shows also may be viewed only with a C-Band downlink satellite dish.

On March 7, the Division I Women's Basketball selection show can be seen at 5:15 p.m. Eastern time on ESPN. This is a time change from recent years when the announcement traditionally was made at 7:30 p.m. The 1999 show also has been expanded to 45 minutes in length.

Following the women's selection show, the Division I Men's Basketball Championship bracket will be revealed on CBS at 6:30 p.m.

The Division I Men's Ice Hockey Championship selection show will be aired Sunday, March 21, at 12:30 p.m. Eastern time and can be seen either on espn2 or ESPNews.
