Field: A total of 180 individual qualifiers will be selected. The team champion is determined by the team points scored by each qualifying individual.

Dates and site: The championships will be held March 5-6 at College of New Jersey.

Championships notes: Augsburg won its second straight championship last year in a runaway, outdistancing Wartburg, 132-90. The 132-point total was the highest since the inaugural championships in 1974 when Wilkes won with 135 points ... The championship was the third in four years and fifth overall for the Auggies, which ties them with Brockport State and College of New Jersey for the overall lead. All of Augsburg's titles have come under coach Jeff Swenson ... Wartburg, which won its only championship in 1996, also was second in 1997 ... Five individual champions from last year return, including Matt Hamill of Rochester Institute of Technology, who won last year's most outstanding wrestling award and the 190-pound weight class.
