Division III Men's Indoor Track

Field: The Division III Championships Committee has approved a qualifying procedure that allows for a maximum of 158 student-athletes.

Dates and site: The championships will be conducted March 12-13 at Ohio Northern.

Championships results also will be available on the World Wide Web at www.ncaa.org. Results will be published in the March 29 issue of The NCAA News.

Championships notes: Lincoln (Pennsylvania) and Wisconsin-La Crosse have been the dominant teams, claiming every title since 1990. By edging Mount Union last year, Lincoln won for the third time in four years ... Wisconsin-La Crosse owns a division-leading seven crowns... St. Thomas (Minnesota) in 1985, Frostburg State in 1986 and North Central in 1989 are the only other institutions to win titles ... Lincoln has finished first or second in 10 of the 14 meets ... Wisconsin-La Crosse has placed fifth or better for 13 straight seasons ... Lincoln tops the individual-championships list with 26, followed by Wisconsin-La Crosse with 15 and Mount Union and St. Thomas (Minnesota) with 10 each.
