NCAA to conduct two-day conference interns seminar

The NCAA will conduct a two-day seminar for conference interns Thursday, January 28 through Saturday, January 30, 1999, at the Embassy Suites Plaza Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri.

The seminar will include presentations from various NCAA staff, panel discussions with top NCAA administrators and former interns, and skills-enhancement workshops.

The cost of the seminar is $300 single occupancy or $200 double occupancy per participant (payable by check or money order to the NCAA upon registration at the opening session).

This registration fee will cover the cost of the participant's room for Thursday and Friday, January 28 and 29; dinner Thursday evening; lunch all three days; seminar breaks; and all materials for the skills-enhancement workshops.

Transportation and other related expenses, as well as the registration fee, are the responsibility of the conference office or participant.

Registration information was mailed recently to the commissioners of NCAA member conferences.

The deadline to complete and return the registration form is December 5, 1998. Individuals with questions about the Conference Intern Seminars may contact Sheryl L. George of the education services staff at the national office.
