Division III Women's Volleyball

Field: Forty-eight teams from eight regions will compete for the title.

Dates and sites: All matches will be played at on-campus sites. Eight six-team regionals will be played November 12-14. Winners will advance to the quarterfinals November 21. The finals will be conducted December 4-5.

Championship results will appear in the December 21 issue of The NCAA News.

Championship notes: UC San Diego prevented Washington (Missouri) from winning a seventh consecutive title last year by defeating Juniata in the championship match to win the school's seventh national crown .... Juniata has played in the final match four times but has never won .... Only two institutions besides UC San Diego and Washington (Missouri) have claimed the championship: La Verne (2) and Elmhurst (1) .... Juanita and UC San Diego are the only schools to have been selected to all 17 tournaments.
