Division II Women's Volleyball

Field: Thirty-two teams will be selected to compete for the national championship.

Dates and sites: Eight four-team regionals will be played at on-campus locations November 19-20 or 20-21. Semifinals and finals will be played at Kissimmee Arena in Kissimmee, Florida, December 4-6.

Championship results will appear in the December 21 issue of The NCAA News.

Championship notes: The finals will be played at a predetermined site for the first time .... West Texas A&M defeated Barry in a rally-scored fifth game, 18-16, to claim the 1997 championship for its third title in the 1990s. Only Portland State has won more championships with four .... UC Riverside has qualified for 16 of 17 championships, the most of any institution.
