Division III Field Hockey

Field: A 16-team tournament will determine the national champion.

Dates and sites: First- and second-round games will be played at on-campus sites November 7-8 and the finals will be November 14-15 at an on-campus location.

Championship notes: William Smith captured its second crown last year with a 3-0 win over Cortland State .... The College of New Jersey has won the most titles with eight and has finished second in four other championships. The Lions have not gone more than four years without winning the championship.

Only five other schools have won the crown, including Cortland State (2), Bloomsburg (2), Lock Haven (1), Salisbury State (1) and Ithaca (1) .... The College of New Jersey is the only school to qualify for the tournament each of the 17 years.
