Division I Field Hockey

Field: The single-elimination tournament is composed of 12 teams from five regions.

Dates and sites: The first and second rounds will be played at on-campus sites November 14 - 15. The semifinals and final will be November 20 and 22 at Pennsylvania.

Championship notes: North Carolina is the defending champion and has claimed the last three titles. No team has ever won four consecutive championships .... Old Dominion is the only other team to win three consecutive titles, achieving the feat twice (1982-84 and 1990-92) .... Only six schools have won a title in the championship's 17-year history: Old Dominion (7), North Carolina (4), Connecticut (2), Maryland (2), Iowa (1) and James Madison (1) .... Penn State has appeared in 16 consecutive tournaments but has never advanced to the championship game.
