Division I Women's Soccer

Field: The bracket has been expanded this year to 48 teams.

Dates and sites: Preliminary-round games will be conducted at on-campus sites. Sixteen first-round matches will be played November 11, 16 second-round matches will be played November 14 or 15, and eight third-round matches will be played November 20, 21 or 22. Quarterfinals will be held November 27, 28 or 29. The semifinals and final will be held at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, December 4 and 6.

Championship notes: Two-time defending champion North Carolina has won 14 of 16 titles .... Connecticut and North Carolina are the only teams to have been selected to all previous championship fields .... Two of the last three championship games have gone into overtime to determine the victor .... North Carolina and Notre Dame have both appeared in semifinal games in the past four years .... The Division I Women's Soccer Championship is making its 10th appearance in the state of North Carolina.
