Ponsetto selected as chair of championships cabinet

Jean Lenti Ponsetto, senior associate athletics director at DePaul University, has been appointed as chair of the Division I Championships/Competition Cabinet.

Ponsetto replaces Chris Hill, director of athletics at the University of Utah, who resigned from the cabinet.

Ponsetto, who also has been named to participate in the newly created Division I Working Group to Study Basketball Issues, recently completed a two-year stint as chair of the Division I Women's Basketball Committee.

In addition to her duties at at DePaul, Ponsetto was instrumental in the formation of the North Star Conference in 1983. Ponsetto served as commissioner of the conference from 1987-89.

She currently is a member of Conference USA's compliance coordinators committee.
