Myers appointed to serve on Management Council

Andrea Myers, director of athletics at Indiana State University, has been appointed to the Division I Management Council.

Myers replaces Charlotte West, who retired as associate athletics director at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, as the Missouri Valley Conference representative to the Council.

Myers was Indiana State's senior associate athletics director and compliance officer before accepting the director position. She also served a seven-year tenure as the school's women's basketball coach. An Indiana State graduate, Myers led the Sycamores to 40 wins in her final two seasons, including a school-best 22-6 mark in 1988.

Before taking on the head coaching position at Indiana State, Myers posted a 209-95 record in 15 years as coach of the Vincennes University women's basketball team and led the Lady Trailblazers to several appearances in the National Junior College Athletic Association postseason tournament.
