Sports sponsorship: Lewis and Clark College recently announced the addition of men's and women's rowing, beginning with the 1998-99 academic year. Lewis and Clark has fielded rowing as a club sport for 25 years. Both teams will be coached by Anne Silbernagel.

Milestones: Gerry DiBartolo, Salisbury State University, 150 victories in soccer ... Gina Loudenburg, Wheaton College (Massachusetts), 200 victories in volleyball ...Springfield College's field hockey team recently tallied its 300th victory. --Compiled by Kay Hawes
