The deadline for submission of completed nomination forms for the following vacancy is August 28, 1998.
Men's and Women's Fencing Committee: Two interim (immediate) vacancies. The appointees will replace Jeffrey Eisen, formerly of the University of Detroit, Mercy, and Denise Cohen, formerly of the U.S. Air Force Academy, both resigned from the committee. Both appointees must represent women's fencing and both must be athletics administrators. One appointee must be from the Midwest region and one must be from the West region. Eligible divisions: I-A, I-AA, I-AAA, II, III.
Division I
Division I candidates must be nominated by their institution's multisport conference. The Division I Nomination Form and Division I Nominee Information Form must be completed for each nominee. Nomination materials are to be sent to Julie Quickel, committee coordinator, at the national office (fax 913/339-0035).

Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Committee: Three vacancies. Two vacancies are on the men's subcommittee. The two appointees will replace Matt Anger, University of Washington, and Jean R. Desdunes, Georgia Institute of Technology, both resigned from the men's subcommittee. The men's subcommittee appointees will preferably be from regions 2, 5, 6 or 8. One vacancy is on the women's subcommittee. The appointee will replace Lisa Fortman, formerly of Northwestern University, who retired. The women's subcommittee appointee will preferably be from the Southwest region. One of the three new appointees must be male. No more than two of the appointees may be from Division I-A or I-AA. Eligible subdivisions: I-A, I-AA, I-AAA.
Division I Infractions Appeals Committee: One interim (immediate) vacancy. The appointee will replace David Price, Pacific-10 Conference, who has been named the group executive director of enforcement and student-athlete reinstatement at the NCAA national office. Eligible subdivisions: I-A, I-AA, I-AAA.
Division II
Division II individuals may be nominated by peers. Self nominations also are accepted in Division II. A Division II Nomination Form and Division II Nominee Information Form must be completed for each nominee. Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee: One vacancy. The appointee will replace Lucretia Simmons, University of North Florida, not eligible for reappointment. This is an at-large vacancy that can be filled by any full-time undergraduate or graduate student at a Division II institution. The appointee must be a student-athlete or a former student-athlete in a Division II sport.
Division II Nominating Committee: One interim (immediate) vacancy. The appointee will replace Toni Morgan, formerly of St. Paul's College, no longer at a Division II institution.
