II men's indoor track championships team standings adjusted

The team standings from the 1998 Division II Men's Indoor Track Championships have been revised due to a student-athlete from Abilene Christian University being declared ineligible.

Per NCAA Bylaw 31.2.2.4-(a), when a student-athlete competing as an individual or representing the institution in a team championship is declared ineligible subsequent to the competition, the following shall occur:

The individual's performance shall be stricken from the championships records, the points the student has contributed to the team's total shall be deleted, the team standings shall be adjusted accordingly and any awards involved shall be returned to the Association. For those championships in which individual results are recorded by time, points or stroke totals (i.e., cross country, golf, gymnastics, indoor track, outdoor track, rifle, swimming and skiing), the placement of other competitors shall be altered and awards presented accordingly.

(tie) Emporia St., Indianapolis, North Dak. St., Southern Conn. St., Southern Ind., Tex. A&M-Kingsville and Western St., 10; 15. South Dak. St., 9; 16. (tie) Adams St., Ashland, Augustana (S.D.), Morningside and North Dak., 8; 21. (tie) Fort Hays St. and Lewis, 7; 23. Wayne St. (Neb.), 6; 24. (tie) Chadron St., East Stroudsburg, New Haven, Pittsburg St., 4; 28. (tie) Hillsdale and Neb.-Kearney, 2; 30. (tie) St. Cloud St. and Slippery Rock, 11/2; 32. Truman St., 1.
