Nominations sought for Division III Presidents Council

Nominations are being sought for a vacancy on the Division III Presidents Council resulting from a declined nomination.

This is an immediate vacancy with a four-year term.

Candidates for the vacancy need not meet specific requirements. However, since three Presidents Council members' terms will expire in January 1999, strong consideration will be given to Division III nominees who are a chief executive officer of a public institution; a chief executive officer in Region 2; a female chief executive officer; and/or an ethnic-minority chief executive officer.

Nominations should be submitted to Daniel T. Dutcher, NCAA chief of staff for Division III, at the national office (fax 913/339-0033). The deadline for nominations is February 27.

The Division III Presidents Council anticipates reviewing nominations and filling the vacancy during its March 2 conference call. The council would prefer that the new member be able to attend the April 21 Presidents Council meeting in Indianapolis.
