1998 men's, women's basketball postgrad scholarship nominees sought in all divisions

Memorandum is being mailed to all faculty athletics represenatives

A memorandum announcing the opportunity to nominate candidates for 1998 NCAA postgraduate scholarships in men's and women's basketball is being mailed to faculty athletics representatives at every Divisions I, II and III institution.

The memorandum from Julie Quickel, NCAA committee coordinator, will be mailed January 20.

Faculty athletics representatives are being urged to contact Quickel at the national office if they do not receive the memorandum and an enclosed nomination folder by January 30.

Completed nomination forms must be received by postgraduate scholarship district selection committee chairs no later than March 9.

Final selections will be made during the April 16-17 meeting of the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Committee.
