Folkl, Klebe head volleyball Academic All-America teams

Stanford senior Kristin Folkl, who led the Cardinal to the 1997 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship title, is this year's university-division selection as GTE Academic All-America Team Member of the Year for women's volleyball.

Joining Folkl is college-division honoree Tanya Klebe, a senior at Rochester.

Folkl and Klebe lead this year's GTE Academic All-America Teams in women's volleyball, which were selected by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Team members are varsity starters or key reserves who have maintained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.200 (4.000 scale).
