Belgiovine named Division III assistant chief of staff

Bridget Belgiovine has been named assistant chief of staff for Division III effective January 14.

As assistant chief of staff, Belgiovine will work with the Division III Presidents Council and Management Council.

Belgiovine replaces Marybeth Ruskamp, who left the staff earlier this month to spend more time with her family.

Belgiovine has been athletics director at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse, since 1992 and is chair of the Division III Management Council.

She was elected to the former NCAA Council in 1994 and served as Division III vice-president in the former governance structure.

Belgiovine also served on the Division III Task Force to Review the NCAA Membership Structure, which oversaw the reorganization of the Division III governance structure.

She earned an undergraduate degree in physical education at the College of New Jersey and a master's degree in physical education at Springfield College.

Belgiovine served as assistant AD and assistant professor at Springfield before being named AD at Wisconsin-La Crosse.
