Championships corner

Division I men's and women's swimming and diving: The Division I subcommittee of the Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee is soliciting proposed budgets from potential hosts for championships competition in 2000. The committee is seeking two sites (one for men's competition and one for women's competition) able to conduct national-championship competition. Each site must be able to provide a 25-meter competition course. The Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled for March 16-18, 2000. The Division I Men's Swimming and Diving Championships are scheduled for March 23-25, 2000. Representatives of institutions interested in serving as host of the championships are invited to contact R. Wayne Burrow (telephone 913/339-1867), NCAA assistant director of championships, at the national office.
