Golf scholars include women's championships participants
Eighty-eight women, including 21 participants in this year's Division I and Divisions II and III Women's Golf Championships, have been named to the 1997 National Golf Coaches Association All-Scholar Academic Team.
To be selected, golfers must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.400 (4.000 scale) and academic standing as a sophomore, and must have played in at least 66 percent of a team's competitive rounds.
Florida State placed three golfers on the team, the most from any institution.
Following are this year's all-American scholars. Those who participated in the 1997 Division I and Divisions II and III Women's Golf Championships are indicated by an asterisk:
