Director of aviation dies
Eugene M. Lamb, NCAA director of aviation, died unexpectedly June 13.
Lamb, 40, oversaw the maintenance and air worthiness of the NCAA aircraft. Lamb, who had been with the Association for seven years, graduated from Beloit College with a degree in economics and business.
Funeral services were conducted June 17 in Rockford, Illinois. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamb Children's Education Fund.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Marie Lamb; two sons, John Michael and Quinter Barrett; three daughters, Christine Jean, Catherine Jennete and Camille Justin; his parents, John and Patricia Lamb (John Lamb previously served as NCAA director of aviation); and three brothers, Dennis, Bryan and Donald Lamb.
