All-Time Team selected for Division II baseball's anniversary
In honor of the 30th anniversary of the Division II Baseball Championship, an All-Time Team recently was selected by current and former members of the NCAA Division II Baseball Committee.
The players selected to the team earned all-tournament honors, or made a significant contribution to a team's success in a year when an all-tournament team was not selected.
Florida Southern landed five players on the first team, as well as former head coach Hal Smeltzly, who coached the Mocassins to national titles in 1971, 1972 and 1975. The 1985 Florida Southern and the 1986 Troy State teams tied for recognition as best Division II championship team.
