Committee notices

Division III institutions are being asked to submit nominations for the following vacancies on sports committees. Written nominations to fill the following vacancies must be received by Julie Quickel, NCAA committee coordinator, in the NCAA national office by the close of business May 28, 1997 (fax number 913/339-0035).

Divisions II and III Women's Golf Committee: One Division III position, preferably representing the Great Lakes region.

Division III Men's Ice Hockey Committee: One position representing the East region. The appointee must be an athletics administrator who does not coach men's ice hockey.

Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee: One position representing women's swimming interests in Districts 5, 6 or 7. The appointee must be an athletics administrator who does not coach women's swimming.

Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee: One position representing the West region. The appointee must be a woman.

The following change has been made in committee listings in the 1996-97 NCAA Directory, effective immediately.

Council-appointed committees

National Youth Sports Program Committee: Tina Sloan Green, Temple University, appointed to replace Robert L. Bockrath, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa.
