Association-wide committee nominations due March 21

Nominations are being accepted for positions on nine Association-wide committees.

Division I nominations must be made through the conferences listed in Constitution 4.5.1. Divisions II and III nominations may be made either through conference offices or by providing a written nomination directly to Julie Quickel, NCAA committee and scholarship coordinator, at the national office. The management councils will be responsible for making appointments in Divisions II and III.

The fax number is 913/339-0035. All nominations are due at the national office by March 21.

The new Executive Committee must ratify all appointments.

The vacancies are as follows:

Committee on Competitive Safeguards and Medical Aspects of Sports

Division I: Two vacancies. One must be filled by an individual who is active in exercise physiology research. Division I positions will be appointed by the Championships/Competition Cabinet.

Honors Committee

Division I: Two vacancies, one each from Division I-AA and Division I-AAA. Division I positions will be appointed by the Division I Management Council.

Memorial Resolutions Committee

Division I: Three vacancies, one from each subdivision. Division I positions will be appointed by the Management Council.

Minority Opportunities and Interests Committee

Division I: Four vacancies, at least one of which must be from Division
I-AA. Division I positions will be appointed by the Strategic Planning Cabinet.

Division II: One vacancy.

Note: This committe must include at least eight ethnic minorities, including four men and four women.

Olympic Sports Liaison Committee

Division I: Two vacancies. Division I positions will be appointed by the Strategic Planning Cabinet.

Division II: One vacancy.

Research Committee

Division I: One vacancy. The Division I position will be appointed by the Strategic Planning Cabinet.

Postgraduate Scholarship Committee

Division I: One vacancy, which must be filled from Division I-AA. The Division I position will be appointed by the Division I Management Council.

Committee on Sportsmanship and Ethical Conduct*

Division I: Four vacancies, at least one from each subdivision. Division I positions will be appointed by the Strategic Planning Cabinet.

Division II: One vacancy. (A second Division II position on this committee will be filled by a Division II Management Council member.)

Division III: One vacancy. (A second Division III position on this committee will be filled by a Division III Management Council member.)

Committee on Women's Athletics

Division I: One vacancy. The Division I position will be appointed by the Strategic Planning Cabinet.

Division III: One vacancy.

Both the Divisions I and III selections must be men.
