Title IX seminars set for April, May
The NCAA will host its third series of Title IX seminars this spring to help member institutions provide equitable opportunities for women student-athletes.
The seminars are designed to offer information, assistance and ideas about Title IX compliance for administrators working in intercollegiate athletics.
The 1997 seminars will be conducted April 21-22 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Atlanta and May 12-13 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. Each seminar will last 11/2 days. The seminars are conducted at different sites to make it easier for interested parties to attend; the subject matter does not vary at the two sites.
Registration information was mailed recently. Meeting-room space is limited, so those who plan to attend are advised to register as early as possible.
Individuals with questions about the Title IX seminars may contact Janet M. Justus, director of education outreach, at the national office. Those with questions about registration may contact Kaily Sola, also at the national office.
