Preliminary-round, regional sites recommended for 2000, 2001
The NCAA Division I Men's Basketball Committee agreed during its December 16-18 meeting in San Antonio to recommend the following sites for preliminary-round and regional competition in 2000 and 2001.
These sites subsequently were approved by the NCAA Administrative Committee.
First- and second-round competition in 2000:
East region (March 17 and 19)
Marine Midland Arena; Buffalo, New York; Canisius College, Niagara University and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, hosts.
Lawrence-Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Wake Forest University, host.
South region (March 17 and 19)
Nashville Arena; Nashville, Tennessee; Ohio Valley Conference, host.
Birmingham-Jefferson Civic Center; Birmingham, Alabama; Southeastern Conference, host.
