Committee notices

The following changes, corrections and additions have been made in committee listings in the 1996-97 NCAA Directory. Changes are effective immediately unless otherwise noted.

Council

Delete the "at large" designation (page 8 of directory) for Brenda Weare, since this now is a Division I-A conference position.

Council-appointed committees

Honors Committee: Thomas E. Yeager, Colonial Athletic Association, appointed to the vacant Council representative position.

Sports committees

Division III Women's Basketball Committee: Julie A. Oja, coordinator of athletics facilities/senior woman administrator, College Misericordia, appointed to replace Charles Goffnett, Alma College, resigned from the committee.

Mark R. Thomas, women's basketball coach, University of Wisconsin, Stout, appointed to replace Debra F. Hunter, Bethel College (Minnesota), resigned from the committee.

Division I-AA Football Committee: Steve D. McCarty, director of athletics, Stephen F. Austin State University, appointed to replace Robert G. Hayes, McNeese State University, resigned from the committee.

Division II Women's Volleyball Committee: Correct spelling of name -- Donna K. Palivec, Bemidji State University.

Council subcommittees

Council Subcommittee on Initial-Eligibility Waivers: Delete listing of Larry R. Gerlach, University of Utah, inasmuch as he has resigned from the subcommittee.
