Committee notices

The following changes, corrections and additions have been made to information in the 1996 NCAA Committee Handbook. The handbook is the official source of information about NCAA committees until late October 1996, when the 1996-97 NCAA Directory will be published. Changes are effective immediately unless otherwise noted.

Council

Brenda Weare, associate commissioner, Conference USA, appointed as a Division I-A conference representative, assuming the position vacated by Kevin M. White.

Council-appointed committees

Honors Committee: Thomas E. Yeager, Colonial Athletic Association, appointed as Council representative, replacing Kevin M. White, no longer a Council member.

National Youth Sports Program Committee: Robert L. Bockrath, now director of athletics, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, instead of Texas Tech University.

Sports committees

Division II Women's Basketball Committee: Britt S. King, University of District of Columbia, appointed to replace Jan H. Kiger, no longer at an NCAA institution.

Division I Women's Volleyball Committee: Linda E. Dollar, Southwest Missouri State University, appointed to replace Betsy G. Stephenson, no longer at an institution in the appropriate region.
