Division I men's and women's diving: The Division I subcommittee of the NCAA Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee is again soliciting proposed budgets from potential hosts for 1998 zone diving competitions. The zone diving competitions are scheduled for March 13-14, 1998. The committee needs five zone diving qualifying sites (Zones A, B, C, D and E -- each site hosts men and women concurrently). The institutions competing in each zone are assigned according to their respective NCAA districts. Assignments are as follows: Zone A -- Districts 1 and 2; Zone B -- District 3; Zone C -- District 4; Zone D -- Districts 5 and 6; and Zone E -- Districts 7 and 8. Representatives of institutions interested in serving as hosts of a zone diving competition are invited to contact R. Wayne Burrow, NCAA assistant director of championships, at the national office (telephone 913/339-1867).
