Contract extension keeps Brine as official ball for NCAA soccer
The NCAA has announced that Brine, Inc., will continue to provide the official ball for all NCAA men's and women's soccer championships.
The NCAA and Brine agreed to a five-year extension of the current contract stipulating that the Brine NCAA championship soccer ball be used in all NCAA tournament games.
The agreement provides promotional moneys that allows the NCAA to better promote and market the championships to the growing soccer community. In addition, Brine will provide the resources to cover the expenses of the Division I men's and women's championship banquets, ticket printing costs and game operation staff apparel.
"Our new contract extension allows Brine to keep up the momentum we have generated over the previous eight seasons of building the value of the NCAA mark within the soccer community and at retail," said Dean Baker, national sales manager at Brine. "This contract also allows us to bring new soccer ball technology to the marketplace under the NCAA mark.
"We look forward to working with the NCAA and to continue to build our relationship."
Brine has been the official soccer ball supplier for NCAA championships since 1988.
